Senior AML Framework Advisor for Family Office

About the role

We are seeking a senior advisory resource to design and operationalise an enterprise‑wide AML framework for a privately‑controlled, multi‑jurisdictional family group. The engagement requires deep AML/CFT expertise and the ability to work with senior stakeholders such as board members and family shareholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct an AML gap assessment against governance, policies and regulatory obligations across FATF, FinCEN, EU, UK and Middle‑East jurisdictions.
• Design a scalable AML governance structure, Target Operating Model and RACI matrix, including board oversight and reporting lines.
• Develop an AML policy and procedures framework that integrates with existing third‑party due‑diligence and screening processes.
• Map regulatory requirements and DNFBP classification for key jurisdictions.
• Create an enterprise‑wide AML training programme with structured learning modules.
• Provide a phased implementation roadmap to operationalise the AML framework.

Required profile

• 10+ years progressive FCC/AML experience, including senior advisory, MLRO or Head of Compliance roles.
• Proven experience advising family offices, privately‑held conglomerates or multi‑generational businesses.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and boards.

Required skills

• Advanced AML/CFT regulatory knowledge (FATF standards, jurisdiction‑specific requirements).
• Experience with DNFBP classification and reporting obligations.
• Policy drafting and framework design for AML compliance.
• Regulatory mapping across Middle East, UK, EU and US jurisdictions.
