Senior Analyst (BI Developer) - Descriptive Analytics

About the role

Rakbank is looking for a Senior Analyst (Descriptive Analytics) to turn complex business data into actionable insights through dashboards, automated reporting and advanced analytics. You will work closely with stakeholders across the bank to deliver performance reporting that supports strategic and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards and management reports.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and turn them into visualizations and performance metrics.
• Extract, transform and integrate data from multiple sources using SQL, Power Query and data models.
• Develop and optimize DAX calculations, measures and reporting models.
• Automate recurring MIS and management reporting processes.
• Perform trend, variance, performance and drill-down analysis to identify opportunities.
• Monitor dashboard performance, data refresh schedules and data quality, and resolve reporting issues proactively.
• Maintain documentation of dashboards, KPIs, business definitions, calculations and data sources.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security and confidentiality standards, especially for customer and banking data.
• Support regulatory, financial and management reporting needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the banking industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in sales analytics, performance reporting and/or sales incentive analytics.
• Knowledge of retail banking products, business banking products, banking processes and sales KPIs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management and communication skills; able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query and SQL, and data visualization.
• Experience with Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric.
• Understanding of data modeling, dashboard automation and reporting optimization.
• Exposure to Python and other analytical tools is advantageous.
