Senior Architect - Concept Design

About the role

A leading architectural practice based in Dubai is looking for a Senior Architect to join its team. The role suits a concept-driven designer with a strong portfolio of large-scale projects, shaping landmark developments from initial idea through to delivery on site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design of mixed-use, high-rise and commercial projects from concept through to completion
• Drive concept design, turning client briefs and site context into bold, buildable solutions
• Apply parametric and computational design workflows to explore form, optimise performance and simplify complex geometry
• Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary teams including structural, MEP, façade and landscape consultants
• Oversee design packages, detailed drawings, specifications and presentations across all stages
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, Dubai Municipality requirements and international codes
• Manage project programmes, deliverables and design quality with project directors
• Mentor junior and intermediate architects and liaise with clients, authorities, contractors and consultants

Required profile

• Minimum 8+ years of post-qualification experience in architecture, focused on mixed-use, high-rise and commercial developments
• International chartership such as RIBA or AIA preferred
• Portfolio showing strong conceptual design and large-scale delivered projects
• Previous GCC experience, ideally in Dubai, with knowledge of local approval processes
• Understanding of building codes, façade systems, vertical transportation and technical detailing for high-rise construction

Required skills

• Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
• Parametric and computational tools such as Rhino, Grasshopper or Dynamo
• Rendering and visualisation tools such as SketchUp, Enscape or V-Ray
• Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills
