Senior Architect & Design Manager

About the role

Oneworks is seeking a Senior Architect / Design Manager to lead the architectural design of the flagship Sharjah Airport project. Based full‑time at the site office in Sharjah, you will coordinate with the client, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver a high‑quality, technically complex airport development.

Key responsibilities

• Own the architectural design scope from concept through construction and handover, ensuring compliance with budget, programme and quality standards.
• Lead and manage the design team, coordinating inputs from all disciplines and sub‑consultants.
• Review and approve architectural deliverables, drawings and submittals against local and international codes.
• Identify, assess and mitigate design, technical and programme risks.
• Monitor design progress and collaborate with engineering, contractors and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
• 8–15 years of architectural design experience, including at least 3 years on aviation projects.
• Proven experience leading design teams on large‑scale, high‑profile developments.
• Strong knowledge of international and UAE/GCC building codes and standards.
• Fluent professional English (written and spoken).
