Senior Architect

About the role

The Senior Architect will lead the design and delivery of a wide range of projects for a cultural foundation, from heritage renovations to new‑build constructions and temporary exhibitions. The role combines client representation, technical design, and on‑site coordination to ensure high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the foundation on client projects, draft RFPs, and manage consultant relationships.
• Coordinate design meetings, align project vision with foundation goals, and act as liaison between consultants and contractors.
• Oversee heritage house renovations, including drawing production, sub‑contractor procurement, material selection, and site supervision.
• Lead new‑build projects from concept through schematic design, BIM modelling, and hand‑over to execution architects.
• Manage smaller‑scale projects, covering concept, schematic, detailed design, and full delivery, including interior, landscape, lighting, and AV design.
• Plan and execute exhibitions, collaborating with artists, curators, and operations teams, and handling budgeting, procurement, and installation.
• Maintain foundation facilities, develop systematic tools for team workflow, and research sustainable design innovations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in architectural design and project coordination across renovation, new‑build, and exhibition contexts.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, budgets, and timelines while ensuring compliance with foundation standards.
• Strong communication skills to liaise between consultants, contractors, and internal departments.
