Senior Architect

About the role

ALFIRAS General Contracting is looking for an experienced Senior Architect to lead architectural activities on a range of hotel and high‑rise projects in Al Jurf, Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for ensuring design quality, compliance with local regulations, and seamless coordination across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all architectural works throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and coordinate architectural drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Collaborate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and local authority regulations.
• Resolve technical issues, respond to RFIs, and handle authority approvals.
• Monitor site activities to guarantee construction follows approved drawings.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Planning, MEP, and Civil teams to achieve milestones.
• Review architectural finishes and uphold high workmanship standards.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support.
• Identify design conflicts and propose practical solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• 8‑10 years of construction industry experience.
• At least 5 years of UAE experience with a main contracting company.
• Proven track record in hotel and high‑rise building projects.
• Strong knowledge of shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, authority approvals, and consultant coordination.
• Excellent coordination, technical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage on‑site architectural activities and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
