Senior Associate – Arbitration (DIFC)

About the role

M&CO Legal is seeking a Senior Associate – Arbitration to join its growing arbitration team in Dubai. The role involves handling complex commercial and international arbitration matters within the DIFC framework.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and assist with arbitration matters from commencement through to final award.
• Conduct detailed legal research and prepare legal submissions.
• Draft and review pleadings, applications, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Assist Partners on complex arbitration and dispute resolution matters.
• Coordinate with clients, counsel, experts, and other stakeholders.
• Support the team in DIFC‑related proceedings and matters.

Required profile

• Minimum of 7 years’ overall legal experience.
• At least 3 years’ hands‑on experience handling DIFC matters.
• English law qualification preferred.
• UAE legal experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong experience in handling complex commercial and international arbitration matters.
• Experience drafting pleadings, submissions, applications, and other arbitration‑related documents.
• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently and work effectively with Partners and the wider legal team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
