Senior Associate - Audit & Assurance

About the role

BDO UAE is seeking a Senior Associate to lead external audit engagements and provide assurance services to a diverse client base. You will work closely with clients to ensure high‑quality audit documentation and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and perform external audits following BDO’s audit methodology, ensuring thorough documentation.
• Assist clients in preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage audit projects end‑to‑end, including planning, client coordination, and timely delivery of deliverables.
• Identify, discuss, and resolve audit and accounting issues with the engagement team and clients.
• Prepare audit reports, communicate findings and recommendations, and obtain client agreement.
• Present audit results to Audit Committees, Boards of Directors, or other governance bodies.
• Monitor client needs, anticipate issues, and propose additional services that add value.
• Maintain continuous professional development on local regulations, IFRS updates, and audit methodology changes.

Required profile

• CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification audit experience with a leading professional services firm or large multinational.
• Degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven record of managing audit engagements.
• Fluent English – reading, speaking and writing.
