Senior Associate – External Audit (IPSAS) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

As a Senior Associate in External Audit, you will lead audit engagements from planning through completion, review financial statements, and provide technical accounting services while supervising junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of client engagements, preparing and reviewing work papers and financial statement drafts.
• Produce client deliverables, including management reports and audit findings.
• Participate in audit planning discussions to identify risks and design audit strategies.
• Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns throughout the audit process.
• Utilize AI, advanced analytics, and data visualisations to enhance audit quality.
• Engage proactively with clients, offering strategic improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience on complex audits, including group audits.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of IPSAS (mandatory).
• Ability to supervise staff, lead projects and manage workloads.
• Willingness to work additional hours and travel as needed.
