Senior Auditor – Internal Audit

About the role

The Senior Auditor supports the Principal Auditor in delivering internal audit services for assigned projects. Working under the guidance of the Internal Audit Manager, the role ensures audit work meets professional standards and helps identify and mitigate risks.

Key responsibilities

• Implement departmental policies, processes and procedures in line with IIA standards.
• Execute day‑to‑day internal audit operations, adhering to EGA audit methodology.
• Participate in risk assessments for the assigned area of responsibility.
• Conduct audit activities including audit approach design, risk analysis, process mapping, testing of internal controls, and identification of improvement and cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Prepare and maintain work papers and audit files according to internal audit methodology.
• Develop corrective action recommendations, set implementation deadlines, and track follow‑up status.
• Draft audit observations for review by the audit team leader.
• Assist with ad‑hoc management requests and fraud investigations.
• Comply with safety, quality and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Engineering.
• Working towards a professional qualification from a recognised international accounting institute (e.g., CPA, CIMA, CMA, CA).
