Senior Backend Developer — Trading Server

About the role

We are building an in‑house trading engine and need a Senior Backend Developer to join the core team. You will work across the full backend stack, from order execution and position management to the underlying infrastructure, delivering low‑latency, high‑reliability services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise backend services for order lifecycle, execution, position management, margin and risk controls.
• Build and maintain microservices communicating via NATS, ensuring reliability and low latency.
• Work with PostgreSQL for transactional data and Redis for caching and real‑time state.
• Participate in migrating existing Python services to Go.
• Define data models, service contracts and own technical quality of your services.
• Collaborate on architecture decisions, code reviews and production incident resolution.
• Instrument services with logging, monitoring and alerting for observability.
• Write unit tests and cooperate with QA on integration and end‑to‑end testing.

Required profile

• 7+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go, C/C++ or Rust; Python experience is a plus.
• Deep understanding of concurrent programming, networking and systems‑level performance.
• Experience building and operating production backend services, preferably in trading or financial systems.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design, query optimisation and transactions.
• Familiarity with Redis for caching or pub/sub.
• Comfortable with Docker and containerised deployments on AWS.
