Senior Civil Engineer – STP Projects

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a strong background in Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) projects to lead the supervision, construction and delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and supervise all civil construction activities for STP projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Supervise the construction of inlet/outlet structures, screening units, equalisation tanks, aeration tanks, secondary clarifiers, sludge treatment facilities, filter and disinfection units, pump rooms and associated civil works.
• Oversee excavation, shoring, de‑watering, back‑filling, compaction, reinforcement, formwork, concrete pouring, curing and waterproofing of tanks and underground structures.
• Coordinate with surveyors, mechanical, electrical and process teams to ensure accurate setting‑out, sleeve provision, equipment foundations and pipe penetrations.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule, prepare regular progress reports and manage manpower, materials and equipment on site.
• Lead QA/QC inspections, concrete quality testing, reinforcement and waterproofing checks, and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
• Review and close NCRs, punch‑list items and support the preparation of as‑built drawings and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of civil engineering and construction supervision experience.
• Minimum 5 years dedicated to STP and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, tanks, pumping stations, pipelines and utility networks.
• Experience managing contractors, site supervision and project coordination in the UAE/GCC preferred.
