Senior Completion & Well Intervention Engineer

About the role

The Senior Completion & Well Intervention Engineer is responsible for delivering well engineering and operational support for completion and workover activities on rigs or rig‑less operations. The role includes preparing detailed programs, supervising junior staff, and acting as a technical advisor on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Completion and Workover Programs, procedures, and AFEs.
• Supervise and mentor Field Engineer Trainees and junior engineers.
• Attend critical wellsite operations as a technical advisor.
• Review Completion Basis of Design, hardware compatibility, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop flowcharts, contingencies, and final hardware designs.
• Determine fluid density and composition for formation compatibility.
• Coordinate slickline, wireline, and fishing tool operations.
• Write programs for cement plugs, remedial cementing, and high‑pressure treating.
• Ensure compliance with IPM and barrier standards during BOP removal and Christmas Tree installation.
• Participate in cost control, supplier evaluation, and new technology review.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in completions and/or workovers in the oil & gas sector.
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and well integrity.
• Ability to collaborate with subsurface, production, and third‑party teams.
