Senior Construction Engineer – Fabrication

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Engineer – Fabrication to lead fabrication activities on oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves planning, coordinating and supervising all fabrication work to ensure safety, quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate fabrication activities for oil and gas projects.
• Review engineering drawings, fabrication procedures and project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality and industry standards.
• Monitor project progress, productivity and resource utilization.
• Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, procurement and site teams.
• Resolve technical and construction issues during fabrication.
• Prepare progress reports and support project planning and scheduling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in the oil & gas sector.
• At least 5 years of experience working in the GCC region.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar senior fabrication position.
• Extensive experience in oil & gas pipeline construction projects.
• Proven leadership, coordination and problem‑solving skills.
