Senior Construction Supervisor – Lifting Operations

About the role

Petrofac is seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor to lead lifting and haul activities on construction sites. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and safely executing all crane and lifting operations while ensuring compliance with HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop lift and haul schedules and optimise the use of lifting resources.
• Plan, select, and coordinate crane, lifting gear, and equipment, ensuring all safety precautions are in place.
• Prepare method statements, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and lift plans, and review subcontractor lift plans.
• Conduct daily site audits to verify HSE and lifting procedure compliance.
• Monitor rigging and lifting operations to ensure adherence to approved plans.
• Maintain and certify all lifting/hauling equipment through approved third‑party inspections.
• Train rigging personnel, conduct VOC assessments, and keep training records up to date.
• Report defects or incidents promptly and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• 12+ years of rigging and lifting experience in direct‑hire construction environments.
• Proven ability to manage day‑to‑day crane and lifting activities on site.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and lifting best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
