Senior Construction Supervisor – Structural

About the role

The Senior Construction Supervisor – Structural will lead and coordinate structural construction activities on Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to project management, you will ensure safe execution, quality compliance, and timely delivery in line with ADNOC requirements and approved drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day structural works including steel structures, pipe racks, equipment supports, platforms, buildings and foundations.
• Ensure construction follows IFC drawings, method statements, specifications, ITPs and applicable codes.
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower, equipment, productivity and progress against schedule.
• Coordinate structural interfaces with civil, piping, mechanical, E&I and engineering teams.
• Review construction drawings for clashes, constructability issues and technical discrepancies.
• Oversee steel erection, alignment, bolting, welding, grouting and modification activities.
• Work with QA/QC to manage inspections, RFIs, punch‑list clearance, NCR resolution and documentation.
• Enforce HSE requirements, PTW procedures, lifting plans and working‑at‑height protocols.
• Control material availability, handling, storage and utilization.
• Participate in daily/weekly meetings, provide progress updates and support mechanical completion and handover.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institute.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry (12 years for UAE nationals), including at least 5 years in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar supervisory role on major oil & gas or marine construction projects.
