Senior Cost Controller

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Cost Controller to lead cost management for a large‑scale EPC project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures effective budget control, accurate forecasting and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor project budgets and cost baselines.
• Track actual costs against forecasts, analyse variances and prepare cost performance reports.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash‑flow projections and Earned Value Management analyses.
• Manage contractual costs, variations and claims, supporting dispute resolution.
• Identify cost‑related risks, maintain risk registers and propose mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with project managers, finance, procurement and engineering to provide timely cost information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Accounting, Construction Management or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in cost control, project controls or commercial management on EPC projects.
• Experience with large‑scale oil & gas, infrastructure or energy projects is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CCP, PMP, CMA, CPA or MRICS are a plus.
