Senior Credit Analyst

About the role

Rakbank is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join its Business Banking team in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on assessing credit applications, ensuring compliance, and supporting portfolio management while maintaining strong risk discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate Business Banking credit applications against approved policies and guidelines.
• Conduct credit checks, documentation reviews, and system validations before recommending decisions.
• Process approvals, declines, and rejections within credit systems, ensuring accurate analysis and complete documentation.
• Issue Letters of Undertaking, Local Purchase Orders, and related documents following approval.
• Maintain credit administration activities, portfolio upkeep, and management reporting.
• Perform periodic control checks, identify discrepancies, and escalate risks promptly.
• Collaborate with Business Banking, Sales, Credit Operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth processing and high‑quality service.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and risk control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Banking, Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in banking or financial services, preferably in credit operations, assessment or lending.
• Strong understanding of retail and business banking credit processes.
