Senior Crewing Manager

About the role

The Senior Crewing Manager will lead Algihaz Marine Contractors' Crewing Department, shaping strategy and ensuring compliant, efficient crew operations across the fleet. This senior position reports to the Head of Assets & Assurance and works closely with senior leadership, clients and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a company‑wide crewing strategy aligned with fleet growth, project mobilisation and long‑term operational goals.
• Standardise crewing processes across Marine, Construction and Project teams to ensure seamless crew planning and operational readiness.
• Oversee selection, contracting and performance management of global manning agencies, maintaining strong recruitment networks.
• Design and execute an audit framework for manning agents to ensure compliance with the Maritime Labour Convention and internal governance standards.
• Manage the crewing department budget, financial KPIs and cost control for recruitment, crew travel and agency expenditures.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of maritime crewing or marine HR experience, with proven leadership of multicultural teams supporting offshore operations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives, present strategic crewing insights and drive workforce planning initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of international seafarer certification requirements under the STCW Convention and flag‑state regulations.
