Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Apgar Consulting is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join its UAE team. You will work on client projects, reporting to a Technical Director or Manager, and help deliver end‑to‑end data, analytics and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and deployment of data management, analytics and AI solutions.
• Define and document scalable data architectures aligned with business goals.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and ensure automated, reliable delivery.
• Maintain high quality standards, technical documentation and best‑practice compliance.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor team members and enforce development standards.
• Assist clients with cloud or on‑premise setup, administration and DevOps processes.

Required profile

• At least 6 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering.
• Proven ability to lead complex data projects from design to production.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the capacity to work independently and with clients.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
