Senior Design Engineer – STP & Water Distribution Network

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the design of sewage treatment plants (STP) and water transmission/distribution networks for large‑scale infrastructure projects in the UAE. The role involves taking concepts through detailed design, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with regional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design activities for STP and water transmission/distribution projects from concept to detailed design.
• Develop and review technical studies, calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and other deliverables.
• Provide engineering solutions and technical input for water and wastewater infrastructure systems.
• Coordinate design work with multidisciplinary teams and ensure alignment with client, consultant and authority requirements.
• Identify, assess and resolve design issues, risks and interface challenges.
• Mentor junior and intermediate engineers and ensure quality of their outputs.

Required profile

• 12–14 years of overall engineering experience.
• Strong background in design of STPs and water transmission/distribution networks.
• Experience across the full design lifecycle, from concept to detailed design.
• In‑depth knowledge of water and wastewater design principles and regional/international standards.
• Proven ability to prepare and review technical calculations, drawings, specifications and design submissions.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design activities.
