Senior Development Manager – AI Products & Solutions (UAE)

About the role

SAP is hiring a Senior Development Manager to lead engineering teams that create AI‑enabled products, platforms, scalable services and enterprise solutions for the UAE region. The role focuses on software engineering, generative AI, delivery management, architecture and team leadership, while defining roadmaps for responsible AI adoption and customer‑centric technology delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams building scalable AI products and platforms.
• Design and oversee software architectures that support enterprise applications and AI‑enabled solutions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional efforts across backend, frontend, data engineering, machine learning and platform teams.
• Define engineering KPIs, metrics and delivery processes.
• Build high‑performing teams through recruitment, mentoring, coaching, performance management and talent development.

Required profile

• 8–10+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning, generative AI, large language models and associated risks.
• Proven experience managing AI or data‑related projects, including scope, dependencies, workforce and delivery.
• Solid understanding of Agile frameworks, roadmap planning, estimation, sprint delivery and risk management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, observability, security and production‑level AI systems.
