Senior Development Manager

About the role

Miral is seeking a strategic and commercially minded Senior Development Manager to lead the planning and delivery of complex destination, hospitality, entertainment, attraction and mixed‑use projects across its growing portfolio in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new development opportunities through market analysis, feasibility studies and business case development.
• Lead projects from concept through design, procurement, delivery, asset transfer and operational handover, managing budgets, programmes and stakeholder responsibilities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors and delivery partners to ensure alignment with scope, quality, commercial and guest‑experience objectives.
• Support the development of world‑class attractions and hospitality assets, championing guest experience, sustainability, safety and commercial performance.
• Lead financial appraisals, investment recommendations, forecasting and value‑engineering activities, and negotiate commercial agreements with operators, investors and IP partners.
• Prepare high‑quality business cases, governance submissions and executive reports, maintaining project controls, risk registers and performance reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction Management, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 10+ years progressive development experience in large‑scale destination, hospitality, entertainment or mixed‑use projects.
• Proven experience managing full development lifecycles, with accountability for scope, budget, programme, commercial outcomes and risk.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including investment analysis, financial modelling and value engineering.
• Experience working with operators, strategic partners, investors, consultants, government entities and IP holders.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation and executive communication skills.
• Professional certifications such as MRICS, PMP, CFA or equivalent are advantageous.
• Fluency in English required; Arabic is a plus.
