Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Halian is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will design, build, and operate end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines for complex, cloud‑native applications, ensuring reliability, security, and cost‑efficiency across the Azure ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines (YAML, Repos, Artifacts, Test Plans) and GitHub Actions for multiple environments.
• Implement blue‑green and canary deployment strategies, leveraging Azure API Management, Front Door, Application Gateway and CDN.
• Containerize applications with Docker, orchestrate them on AKS using Helm, and manage GitOps delivery via ArgoCD or Flux.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform (Azure provider) and ARM templates, including remote state management.
• Integrate security scanning (SAST, DAST, SCA) and policy‑as‑code tools such as SonarQube, HashiCorp Vault, and HP Fortify into the pipeline.
• Monitor performance and availability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, KQL, and optionally Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace or Elastic/Kibana.
• Drive FinOps practices to track and optimise cloud spend.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, preferably on Azure.
• Strong background in CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code, and container orchestration.
• Proven ability to work in an Agile/DevOps culture and collaborate with engineering and finance teams.
