Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning activities for a large‑scale EPC project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves guiding the EPC contractor through construction completion, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and successful hand‑over to operations, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to the EPC contractor to meet completion milestones.
• Support the Onshore Completion Lead in implementing the approved Completion Management System, procedures and workflows.
• Review and certify system documentation, P&IDs and completion data against international standards (API, ASME, IEC).
• Coordinate large database population, data verification and reporting for turnover packages.
• Ensure all electrical systems are completed, tested, and handed over in full compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in commissioning/operation readiness, preferably on MEGA EPC projects in the GCC.
• At least 5 years in senior commissioning roles on oil & gas, petrochemical, sour‑gas, utilities, power‑steam or air‑separation projects.
• Demonstrated experience with Completion Management Systems and large‑scale data handling.
