Senior Electrical Engineer (MEP Contracting)

About the role

GMCO ELECTROMECHANICAL WORKS LLC is looking for a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead MEP contracting projects across Dubai. The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years of hands‑on experience in the UAE, deep knowledge of DEWA regulations, and a proven track record of delivering complex electrical works on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical design review and ensure compliance with DEWA and other authority standards.
• Manage site execution, coordinate with authorities, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and delivery of electrical works for commercial, residential, high‑rise, hospitality, and industrial projects.
• Conduct testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.
• Coordinate substation energisation and integration of generators and UPS systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of MEP contracting experience in the UAE.
• DM and DEWA certification.
• Extensive knowledge of DEWA regulations, authority approval processes, and end‑to‑end electrical project execution.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage multidisciplinary teams.
