Senior Electrical Estimation Engineer (E&I)

About the role

The Senior Electrical Estimation Engineer will lead the evaluation of project requirements, cost estimation and bid preparation for electrical and instrumentation projects. This role requires deep expertise in HV/MV/LV equipment, substation and overhead line works, and will also involve mentoring junior estimators.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender ITBs, drawings, specifications and project schedules to fully understand requirements.
• Obtain and negotiate quotes from suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors to secure competitive rates.
• Prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and detailed cost sheets covering direct, indirect and temporary costs.
• Analyse datasheets, single‑line diagrams and cable schedules, and verify material take‑offs.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals, conduct cost comparisons and manage contract and commercial risk assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience, including at least 5 years as an Estimation Engineer on medium to large scale projects in the UAE or Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of local standards such as ADNOC, ADDC, AADC, ADM, DEWA and SEWA.
