Senior Engineer - Civil

About the role

The Senior Civil Engineer will work closely with the Resident Engineer to supervise and manage the construction of stormwater drainage networks, micro‑tunnelling works and related civil structures across the United Arab Emirates. The role ensures full compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings, specifications and local RTA/DM standards while maintaining strict quality, safety and schedule objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities for stormwater pipelines, micro‑tunnelling drives, shafts and associated civil works.
• Develop, implement and monitor QA/QC procedures, inspection and test plans (ITPs) and method statements for all assigned works.
• Conduct inspections, verify compliance with drawings and specifications, and document site activities.
• Monitor and evaluate inspector performance, providing guidance and ensuring accurate reporting.
• Prepare progress updates for the Resident Engineer/Project Manager and contribute to project progress reports.
• Review and verify as‑built documentation and coordinate civil, structural and MEP interface services.
• Liaise with the Head Office design team on material submittals, design queries and technical clarifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising civil construction projects, particularly stormwater drainage and micro‑tunnelling.
• Ability to develop and enforce QA/QC procedures and method statements.
• Strong knowledge of local RTA/DM standards, HSE requirements and contract specifications.
• Effective communication with design teams and on‑site personnel.
