Senior Engineer, Field Service

About the role

Dell Technologies' Field Service team takes its technical skills to customer sites, handling installation, configuration, integration, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. As a Senior Engineer you will make complex solutions reliable and easy to operate by performing installations, maintenance and repairs while following established SOPs and templates, and partnering with customers and product teams to validate accuracy before handoff.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and test systems, and document the results.
• Apply troubleshooting methods, diagnostics and parts replacement.
• Prepare reports for decision reviews and archive case artifacts in the repository.
• Participate in technical reviews and incorporate feedback.

Required profile

• 5+ years of related experience in a professional role, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of safety procedures and ESD standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and case hygiene (naming, links, formats).
• Effective collaboration and communication across partners.
• Desirable: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Desirable: OEM product certifications; CompTIA A+/Network+ or equivalent.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in field service practices.
• Working knowledge of networking, operating systems and hardware.
