Senior Engineer – Industrialization & Supplier Development

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the technical development and industrialization of suppliers and commodities for POWERTECH turbofan, micro‑jet and piston‑engine programmes. The role will own end‑to‑end supplier technical readiness, from capability assessment through to ramp‑up, acting as the primary technical presence at supplier sites.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical and process capability assessments for machined, fabricated, welded and cast components.
• Evaluate manufacturing methods, equipment, tooling, fixturing, metrology and sub‑tier controls.
• Produce qualification reports, risk assessments and define supplier development requirements.
• Challenge supplier proposals on datum strategy, tolerances, work‑holding and process capability.
• Perform capacity, time and run‑at‑rate studies and drive Cpk achievement.
• Manage supplier development plans, APQP, PFMEA, control plans, operation sheets, routings and work instructions.
• Support FAI and production part approval readiness, and lead 8D/root‑cause analysis for dimensional, tool‑life and yield issues.
• Provide technical guidance on machining, forming, welding/brazing, casting, tooling and fixturing, and execute technology‑transfer activities.
• Offer producibility input during design reviews and engineering changes, and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of aerospace/aero‑engine manufacturing, industrialization or supplier development experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one core commodity such as precision machining, sheet‑metal, welding/brazing or investment casting.
• Proven experience with APQP, PPAP/AS9145, AS9102 FAI, PFMEA and control plans.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Willingness to travel and work on‑site at supplier facilities for extended periods.
