Senior Engineer - LEAP/GEnx Engineering Production Support

About the role

Sanad Aerotech is hiring a Senior Engineer for its Engineering Production Support team, working on the LEAP/GEnx engine program in Abu Dhabi. The engineer provides independent technical support for assigned engine programs, including interpreting OEM documentation, preparing engineering work instructions and technical reports, and resolving routine to moderately complex issues during engine overhaul and repair. The role complies with airworthiness and quality requirements, supports shop floor operations and customer deliverables, and operates with limited supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Review engine workscope and technical requirements against OEM manuals, prepare and update Engine Work Instructions and repair tasks, and give technical recommendations to the engine shop.
• Interpret and implement OEM documents such as SBs, ADs, SILs, Repair Memos and Engineering Letters, prepare engineering responses and technical notices, and assess the impact of OEM changes on shop capability.
• Prepare and review technical reports (Induction, Tear Down, Final), analyse engine condition data for troubleshooting and root cause investigations, and help develop corrective and preventive actions.
• Act as first-line engineering contact for shop floor queries, clarify issues quickly, and coordinate with Planning, Quality, Materials and Production teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, OEM and company quality standards, keep accurate records and document traceability, and support internal and external audits.
• Take part in continuous improvement initiatives, stay up to date with OEM, regulatory and industry developments, and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in aviation, preferably in an engine MRO environment, with hands-on support on major programs such as V2500, Trent 700, GEnx or LEAP.
• Advanced knowledge of engine maintenance practices, OEM manuals and approved repair data, with strong engineering judgment to solve issues independently.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, understand escalation boundaries and contribute to process improvement.
