About the role
Senior Engineer Material Science will lead material research and testing for advanced missile components within EDGE's Advanced Concepts division.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive material research to select suitable materials for missile components.
- Design and oversee testing procedures for mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties.
- Perform failure analysis and provide recommendations for material improvements.
- Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Plan and implement laboratory operations to develop material and fabrication procedures.
Required profile
- Minimum 8 years experience in polymer and coating technologies.
- At least 4 years in a senior role within a large corporate environment.
- Master’s or PhD in Polymer Technology or related field.
- Strong background in design, experiment, R&D, analytical and numerical techniques.
