Senior Engineer - Onshore Construction (E&I)

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead onshore construction activities for electrical and instrumentation (E&I) works supporting offshore facilities in Abu Dhabi. The role involves supervising execution, ensuring safety and compliance, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all electrical and instrumentation construction activities for offshore facilities, ensuring safety, timeliness and compliance.
• Lead and supervise E&I construction at offshore sites and onshore yards, including hook‑up and brownfield modification works.
• Develop and review construction work packs, method statements and job cards, and resolve technical and site queries.
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower, productivity and compliance, and manage interfaces with mechanical, piping, structural and commissioning teams.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, support mechanical completion dossiers and handover packages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in E&I construction for offshore oil & gas projects.
• Previous experience with PMC/EPC construction and offshore E&I systems, hazardous area installations and commissioning.
• Prior ADNOC offshore experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work in challenging offshore environments and undertake extended rotations.
