Senior Engineer – Projects

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Senior Engineer – Projects to join its Sharjah team. The role focuses on coordinating engineering resources, ensuring construction aligns with contractual requirements, and driving project delivery for energy infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering resources to meet contractual construction requirements efficiently.
• Review contract documentation, assess feasibility, and identify required variations.
• Create and maintain project schedules, including Technical Document Register (TDR) level‑4 schedules.
• Monitor drawing issuance, resolve data gaps, and ensure constructability of engineering deliverables.
• Prepare purchase requests, develop project‑specific procedures, and manage subcontractor bids.
• Track project progress against plans, take corrective actions, and ensure resource availability.
• Liaise with clients for approvals, attend meetings, and manage vendor deliverables.
• Lead post‑award kick‑off meetings, expedite vendor actions, and resolve operational issues impacting delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in engineering project coordination within the energy or construction sector.
• Strong understanding of contract documentation, construction feasibility, and schedule management.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
