Senior Engineer Software Embedded Software

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Halcon to design, develop, test, and verify safety‑critical real‑time embedded software for advanced defence and aerospace systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions using C/C++ for real‑time and safety‑critical applications.
• Derive low‑level software requirements, architecture, and design from higher‑level system and software specifications.
• Perform software integration, verification, debugging, and validation activities, including SIL, HIL, and hardware‑software integration testing.
• Participate in technical reviews, prepare engineering documentation, and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer or Software Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in embedded software development with strong proficiency in C/C++.
• Hands‑on experience with RTOS and/or bare‑metal systems, device drivers, and low‑level hardware interfaces.
• Experience with software verification, debugging tools, version control, and requirements management tools.
