Senior Engineer - Stormwater

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – Stormwater to lead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive stormwater management systems for municipal and commercial projects in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop stormwater management systems, including detention basins, retention ponds, and drainage networks, following best practices and local regulations.
• Conduct hydraulic and hydrological analyses to assess performance and optimize designs.
• Prepare technical specifications, engineering drawings, and construction documents using CAD and hydraulic modeling tools.
• Oversee project implementation from conception through completion, ensuring quality and compliance with standards.
• Perform site inspections, evaluate existing infrastructure, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as architects, environmental specialists, and contractors.
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in stormwater engineering or related civil engineering disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of stormwater design standards, best management practices, and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as HEC‑HMS or SWMM.
• Familiarity with GIS software (preferred).
• Project management methodology and tools.
