Senior Estimator - MEP

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator specializing in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) for large‑scale infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves leading cost planning, BoQ preparation and procurement strategy development while working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of pre‑contract cost estimates, cost plans and benchmarking for major infrastructure projects.
• Develop and manage Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and pre‑tender estimates using CESSM and industry standards.
• Support procurement strategy, including package definition, tendering and contract formation.
• Collaborate with design and project teams to align cost objectives with design intent.
• Prepare and review tender documentation, pricing schedules and contract conditions.
• Conduct market analysis and engage with the supply chain to inform cost data.
• Assist in risk, value engineering and cost control activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of cost management experience in construction, focusing on infrastructure and civil engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and technical writing skills in English.
• Experience with large international events (expos, sports, cultural festivals) is preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CESSM estimating software.
• Experience preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and pre‑tender estimates.
• Strong cost estimating and quantity surveying capabilities.
