Senior Facility and Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Senior Facility and Maintenance Supervisor will lead day‑to‑day operations at Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village, ensuring that all heritage buildings, public areas, utilities and technical systems are safe, functional and presented to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve preventive and corrective maintenance plans for heritage structures, visitor facilities, pathways and supporting infrastructure.
• Conduct routine inspections, record asset conditions and schedule timely interventions while respecting historical preservation guidelines.
• Manage and supervise contractors, conservation specialists and service providers, monitoring performance, quality, budgets and timelines.
• Oversee electrical and technical systems, including distribution boards, cabling and power supply, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with RAK Municipality, Civil Defense, EtihadWE, RAK Department of Antiquities and other authorities to secure permits and maintain compliance.
• Prepare and control the facility budget, track costs and implement cost‑control measures.
• Ensure the site is ready for visitors, events, tourism activities and cultural programming.

Required profile

• Strong civil engineering background with multidisciplinary knowledge of facility systems and infrastructure operations.
• Proven supervisory experience in a heritage‑sensitive environment.
• Financial awareness, budget planning and cost‑control capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple operational priorities while maintaining high service and preservation standards.
