Senior FF&E Designer - Hospitality

About the role

A leading hospitality-focused design studio in Dubai is looking for an experienced Senior FF&E Designer. The successful candidate will lead the FF&E package on luxury hotel, resort and F&B projects, from concept sourcing through to installation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and specification of FF&E packages covering furniture, lighting, soft furnishings, artwork and accessories
• Direct sourcing and selection of products and suppliers in line with design concepts, budgets, programmes and operator brand standards
• Oversee bespoke furniture and joinery designs, reviewing detailed drawings and specifications for manufacture
• Review and approve FF&E schedules, specification sheets, mood boards and presentations for internal review and client approval
• Manage FF&E budgets, quotations and procurement strategy, working with suppliers, contractors and procurement teams
• Coordinate with interior designers, architects and consultants so FF&E is fully integrated into the design
• Oversee lead times, deliveries and installation, including site visits, inspections and snagging
• Maintain supplier and manufacturer relationships and build the studio's product and materials library
• Mentor and support junior FF&E designers and assistants

Required profile

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in FF&E design or specification, with a strong focus on hospitality projects
• Portfolio showing luxury hotel, resort, restaurant or F&B FF&E work
• Previous GCC experience, ideally in Dubai, with knowledge of regional suppliers, manufacturers and lead times
• Experience with international hotel brands and operators is advantageous
• Proven experience managing FF&E budgets and procurement
• Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills, able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Required skills

• Strong understanding of furniture construction, materials, finishes and technical detailing
• AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
• MS Excel
• Working knowledge of Revit and rendering tools such as 3ds Max or V-Ray
