Senior Hostess (Russian Speaking)

About the role

Rixos Bab Al Bahr, a luxury hotel chain offering Turkish hospitality, is hiring a Senior Hostess who speaks Russian. The position is full-time and permanent, based in Ras Al Khaimah, and sits in the food and beverage area. The hostess handles reservations, seating and guest reception, and supports the supervisor with cashiering and menu printing.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of the dining room layout, table numbers, capacity, hours, price range and dress code, and of reservation procedures, daily house counts, arrivals and departures, VIPs and scheduled group activities.
• Answer the telephone within three rings, take and confirm reservations and cancellations, and inform management of changes.
• Greet guests at the entrance, seat them according to the floor plan, show them their table and present the open menu.
• Anticipate heavy business periods, manage waiting lines and respond promptly to guest needs and complaints.
• Ensure menus and check folders are clean and available, and that the hostess stand is tidy.
• Do systematic table visits, monitor table clearing and resetting, and keep the section clean and well stocked.
• Assist the supervisor with cashiering procedures and menu printing, and promote the outlets during downtime.
• Follow the Employee Handbook, fire, hygiene, health and safety rules and local legislation, and be ready to take on other reasonable duties or redeployed areas.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality, or 1 year of experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
• Fluency in Russian.
• Punctuality, correct uniform and name tag, and a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
• Professional, courteous service and good working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
