About the role
The Senior HSE Specialist at HE Tea Break will shape and oversee health, safety and environmental practices for the organisation’s activities and content. This part‑time remote position supports both digital events and occasional in‑person engagements, primarily within a UK higher‑education context.
Key responsibilities
- Review and advise on workplace and digital event safety considerations.
- Develop guidance materials and training content on HSE topics for diverse professional audiences.
- Support risk assessments for online and occasional face‑to‑face engagements.
- Collaborate with hosts and virtual teams to integrate HSE best practices into strategic planning.
Required profile
- Demonstrated expertise in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) with senior‑level advisory experience.
- Relevant professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.
- Experience designing and delivering training on health, safety and environmental subjects.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, able to work independently in a remote setting.
