Senior Information Security Engineer

About the role

Dawam Business Solutions is looking for a skilled Senior Information Security Engineer to safeguard its digital assets. The role is hands-on, covering the management and maintenance of a security tool set including firewalls, WAF, antivirus, MFA, NTP, SIEM and FIM. It is a hybrid position (3 days on site, 2 days from home) with two days off per week.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation, configuration and maintenance of the security tool suite, keeping it performing optimally.
• Configure and manage firewalls and Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to protect network and web application infrastructure.
• Maintain antivirus solutions and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) systems.
• Manage NTP synchronization, identity management, SIEM and FIM tools.
• Lead incident response, including investigation, containment, remediation and post-incident reporting.
• Run regular security and vulnerability assessments and risk assessments, and enforce security policies and compliance with standards such as GDPR, HIPAA and PCI-DSS.
• Monitor networks for breaches, report findings to management, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote security awareness.
• Stay updated on threats and technologies, and evaluate and recommend new security tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security tool management.
• Strong technical proficiency in network security, firewalls, WAF, antivirus, MFA, NTP, SIEM and FIM.
• In-depth knowledge of security best practices and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, independent and teamwork skills, and strong communication.
• Preferred: CISSP, CISA or Security+ certification, and knowledge of cloud security platforms.
