Senior Integrity Engineer – Energy Sector

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Integrity Engineer to join a three‑year secondment with a major energy client in Abu Dhabi. The role will be embedded within the client’s organisation and will support the delivery of asset integrity management programmes for critical oil and gas facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform integrity assessments and develop technical deliverables for operating assets.
• Support and lead Risk‑Based Inspection (RBI) studies and methodology development.
• Contribute to Fitness‑for‑Service (FFS), Root Cause Analysis and asset life‑extension studies.
• Develop and implement Integrity Operating Window (IOW) programmes and inspection plans.
• Participate in site visits, technical workshops and stakeholder meetings to ensure recommendations are applied.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in integrity engineering, inspection or asset integrity management within oil & gas.
• Strong organisational, reporting and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and HSSE excellence.

Required skills

• API 580 and API 571 certifications (API 510, 570, 653 advantageous).
• Proficiency with RBI, FFS and IOW methodologies.
• Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO and DNV standards relevant to asset integrity.
• Ability to produce engineering reports, assessments and technical recommendations.
