Senior IT Field Engineer – On‑site Technical Services

About the role

Whitehats LLC is seeking an experienced Senior IT Field Engineer to join its technical services team in Dubai. The role combines on‑site and remote support, requiring hands‑on troubleshooting across diverse customer environments and a strong focus on infrastructure, server, networking, cloud, and security technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote IT support to customers throughout the UAE.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues on desktops, laptops, servers, networks, applications and infrastructure.
• Install, configure and maintain Windows 10/11, macOS, Windows Server (2016‑2025), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot and Azure services.
• Support physical servers (Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo), RAID, iDRAC/iLO, firmware and hardware components.
• Manage VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualization environments.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VLAN, VPN, routing, switching and SD‑WAN connectivity.
• Configure and maintain firewalls and security appliances such as Fortinet FortiGate, Sophos, Cisco and Ubiquiti.
• Implement MFA, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, endpoint protection, EDR/XDR and email security solutions.
• Administer backup and disaster‑recovery platforms including Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, Veeam and Azure Backup.
• Perform server health checks, patching, firmware upgrades and backup/restore testing.
• Handle Microsoft 365 migrations, tenant administration, user onboarding/off‑boarding and related security tasks.
• Support NAS/SAN storage, printers, scanners, IP phones, access points, CCTV connectivity and other peripherals.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, asset records and service reports.
• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs and OEM support while following incident, change‑management and escalation procedures.

Required profile

• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Proven experience in on‑site IT field engineering with a strong customer‑facing attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer environments simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
