Senior Maintenance Team Leader – Pharmaceutical Production

About the role

The Maintenance Team Leader will head the maintenance function for production and packaging equipment at Julphar’s pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khaimah. The role ensures high equipment reliability, supports GMP compliance, and drives continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and external contractors on daily tasks.
• Plan, schedule and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Minimize unplanned downtime while maximizing equipment availability.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, instrumentation and automation failures.
• Support equipment qualification, validation, commissioning and change‑control activities under GMP guidelines.
• Monitor performance, manage spare‑parts inventory and recommend critical procurements.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, QA and Validation teams.
• Train and develop maintenance personnel to maintain technical competency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience on pharmaceutical production and packaging equipment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP requirements and maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Proven leadership, problem‑solving and communication skills.
