Senior Manager AI Software Engineer
Dubai Holding · Doubaï
Job description
About the role
Dubai Holding, a global investment company established in 2004, is hiring a Senior Manager AI Software Engineer at its corporate office, reporting to the Associate Director Software Engineering. The role is responsible for designing, building and operating production-grade AI agents on Microsoft Foundry, a hands-on, pro-code position where the engineer writes Python, integrates Azure services and ships agentic applications. The engineer works in agile teams with Product, Data Science and Architecture to move agent use cases from prototype to production.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build and deploy AI agents on Microsoft Foundry using its agent framework, model catalogue and tool/function-calling capabilities.
- Integrate agents with Palantir Foundry via MCP to fetch enterprise data and run Ontology actions, and implement tool, retrieval, memory and multi-agent orchestration patterns in Python.
- Build evaluation harnesses and guardrails (groundedness, safety, cost, latency) and iterate on prompts, tools and architectures.
- Apply prompt engineering, structured output, RAG and grounding techniques, and operate agents in production with observability, tracing, cost monitoring, regression testing and incident response.
- Manage versioning of prompts, tools and agent configurations alongside code.
- Integrate with Azure services (OpenAI, AI Search, Storage, Functions, Container Apps, Key Vault, Entra ID) and build CI/CD pipelines with automated evals as a release gate.
- Implement authentication, authorization, secret management and data-handling patterns aligned with enterprise security.
- Work with Product Managers, Data Scientists and IT Architects, communicate trade-offs to stakeholders and champion reusable agentic components.
Required profile
- 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building AI agents and production-grade LLM-based systems, including tool use, orchestration, RAG, evaluations and multi-agent workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related quantitative field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Track record of taking AI/ML or agent projects from prototype to production.
- Agile/start-up experience preferred; strong problem-solving, communication and ownership, and comfort with ambiguity.
Required skills
- Strong Python, idiomatic, typed and tested, with async and modern packaging.
- Production AI agents in code (Microsoft Foundry/Azure AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, OpenAI Agents SDK or similar).
- Azure exposure (OpenAI, AI Search, identity, storage, serverless) and Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- LLM patterns: tool/function calling, structured outputs, RAG, memory, multi-agent orchestration.
- Evaluation frameworks, observability (tracing, logging) and DevOps fundamentals (Git, CI/CD, containers, IaC); data engineering and vector stores a plus.
