About the role

The Senior Manager – Category will lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities for Al Ghurair Property Management. This role focuses on building strong supplier relationships, negotiating long‑term agreements and driving cost‑saving initiatives across high‑value commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Establish long‑term, bulk or blanket contracts with key vendors and manage contract renewals.
• Conduct risk assessments for high‑value or volatile commodities and implement mitigation plans.
• Monitor industry trends, new technologies and potential suppliers to improve service quality and reduce cost risks.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives to integrate category strategies with broader organizational goals.
• Oversee end‑to‑end procurement processes, ensuring timely sourcing, specification compliance and adherence to SLAs.
• Manage vendor performance, resolve disputes quickly and drive value‑engineering opportunities.
• Review and approve purchase orders, contracts and high‑value package items, ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in procurement, contract and category management.
• Engineering degree; CIPS Level 4, MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Proven ability to negotiate, conduct spend analysis and manage risk in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong decision‑making and stakeholder management skills.
