Senior Manager – External Audit & Assurance

About the role

Grant Thornton UAE is seeking a Senior Manager to lead external audit engagements for financial services clients. You will work closely with the Audit Partner to design audit strategies, manage a diverse client portfolio, and mentor a team of seniors and associates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key client relationships and oversee complex audit engagements.
• Support managers and assistant managers to maximise team performance.
• Drive business growth through strategic initiatives and networking.
• Negotiate engagement fees and manage project financials, including budgets and billing.
• Ensure high‑quality audit deliverables in line with Grant Thornton methodology and relevant standards.

Required profile

• 8+ years of external audit experience in a top international firm.
• Professional qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proven ability to inspire, develop people and contribute to business development.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with audit tools such as IDEA, Horizon and Voyager.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
