About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead finance control and statutory reporting across Al Ghurair’s diverse businesses, including Foods, Commodity Trading & Crushing, Starch and Poultry. The role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, oversees month‑end close, and coordinates statutory filings for UAE and overseas entities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing for all assigned entities.
- Review trial balances, accruals, provisions, journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of the general ledger and balance sheet.
- Prepare and file statutory financial statements for UAE and overseas entities.
- Manage external and internal audits, including schedules, information requests and resolution of findings.
- Oversee corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing documentation and other tax compliance matters.
- Monitor Global Shared Services performance and ensure accounting deliverables meet quality and timeline requirements.
- Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, eliminations and support group consolidation.
- Supervise accounting for fixed assets, inventory, biological assets, payroll, bank accounts, trade finance and landed costs.
- Review commodity and currency hedge accounting, derivative valuations and IFRS 9 documentation.
- Support cash‑flow forecasting, working capital management and coordination with Treasury.
- Maintain governance of chart of accounts, cost centres, profit centres and finance master data.
- Lead finance system implementations, automation and process‑improvement initiatives.
- Provide financial guidance on new projects, capital expenditures, procurement initiatives and business cases.
- Ensure a strong internal control environment and compliance with delegation of authority and segregation of duties.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading finance control and statutory reporting functions.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage audits, tax compliance and intercompany accounting.
- Experience coaching and developing finance teams.
