Senior Manager - Financial Risk Management

About the role

The Senior Manager will lead financial risk management initiatives across multiple projects, delivering high‑quality analytical solutions and innovative insights for clients. This role combines project leadership, team mentorship, and business development within KPMG's Risk Advisory practice. The successful candidate will work closely with senior client stakeholders to shape market and liquidity risk strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple financial risk management (FRM) projects, ensuring delivery within budget and schedule.
• Own and implement market and liquidity risk initiatives, collaborating with senior client stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering development of junior staff.
• Maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships to identify new business opportunities.
• Provide high‑quality analytical solutions and innovative insights for clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Applied Mathematics or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in financial risk management or quantitative analysis within financial institutions or consulting firms.
• Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM or CFA (preferred).
• Strong understanding of market risk, liquidity risk, regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel) and risk modelling.
• Demonstrated ability to map client business requirements into viable propositions.
